Preview of BB's room
South side of the baby's room--
As you can see, the baby's bag is packed and ready to go!
I remember clearly SLEEPING on the monitor the first couple of nights thinking I might not hear her if she cried and just worrying because she was no longer right beside me. Once I figured out that she was JUST FINE in her own room (and actually probably slept better in her own room) we all got a better night's sleep! Here we go again--back to square one with another new born. Just when I started to get use to Savannah's bedtime routine--
7:00-7:15--Pick out books with Daddy
7:15-7:45--Read stories
8:00 (and sometimes earlier)--Bedtime, lights out
8:00--Mommy and Daddy time :)
North side of the room
Crib--Derrick and Missy let us use theirs so we didn't have to buy another one!
Thank goodness for family!
Once we have a name, the baby's name will go above
the crib in white letters--I love Hobby Lobby!
Savannah's so easy; she always has been a great sleeper. However, if active time in the belly is congruent to or gives any sort of idea what your baby might be like when he/she enters the outside world, I think we might be in trouble with this one! Savannah DEFINITELY had a routine--even when she was in my belly--and is very much a scheduled baby. This child DEFINITELY does not have a routine--and likes to be active at pretty much any time of the day and will bounce around for hours. I think we might have another "Paul" on our hands. Always has to be moving and doing something. I will let daddy take care of this one and I will continue to enjoy my sleeper. :) Kidding. Maybe he/she will surprise me when we bring our new bundle home and will sleep just fine or we could get payback for having a first child who slept through the night at 2 weeks old, that puts herself to sleep now, and let's us know when it's nap time by standing by the stairs waiting for us to take her up. Every child is different and so I am looking forward to the joys this one will bring to our lives. T-minus 13 days and counting!
I just had to post a picture of our small farm house closests
Our home was built in the early 1900's and so closet space back
then was not as important as it seems to be now.

I just noticed that the wall color looks different from North to South walls. It really isn't a different color and the true color is actually what you see on the South side pictures. The sun must have been shining just right when I took these photos this morning.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I love the dresser/changing table. I hate to be "that" person,('cause you know I'm not about labels or certain colors for certain genders)but are the blue walls a hint that a Little Mister is going to make an appearance on St. Patrick's Day? Just wondering--because that was my vote and I need to know if I'm right! Ha! Also, I take it Miss Savannah has her own room? I'd love to see pics of that as well! Take care, dear friend--glad you got a night out!
ReplyDeleteIt does rather look like a boy room feel doesn't it. However, sorry to write, that was not the plan. I read in a book that greens and blues were both "soothing" colors for babies/little kids. Savannah's room has green walls and this baby got the pleasure of having blue walls. I do need to upload some pictures of Savannah's room though since we took all of her "neutral" colored baby accessories from her room and put them into new baby's room and she got some splashes of pink in her room. Super cute Hawaiian/surfer theme! :)
