My Little Snow Monster....

While I was sound asleep napping (oh, this baby is making me sluggish)--Paul found out yesterday, that even though we are wishing and hoping and thinking and praying for this beast of a winter to end, our little girl is all to happy with  the current status of the outdoor conditions.  She is our little snow monster and had an enjoyable afternoon playing in the snow with Daddy.

 Savannah Jean--February 2011

It seemed as if she never really got cold--I think she would have played outside all day long if Paul would have let her!  Oh, I remember those days of being outside as a child and not ever wanting to come in.  Now, I understand why my mother insisted that we come in.  Kids are resilient to cold weather conditions and parents are not.  Could it possibly be the fact that when I do go with her outside-- I dress myself only a winter coat and a scarf and my daughter is wrapped up in three layers of clothes, followed by her snowsuit, cap, gloves, boots, etc.--until she almost looked like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man?!?!?!  Calling all Ghostbusters to the Bersaw Farm!!

Yes, she enjoyed her day with Daddy outside yesterday and today is Mommy's turn!  The weather forecast is looking like 29 degrees for a high today and then will dip back into single digits (maybe even negatives) for the remainder of this week.  So, we must take advantage of the "beautiful" weather while we have a chance because who knows when we'll see this white stuff melt away and get better temps....

  1. It would appear as if our girls have differing opinions when it comes to the snow and the cold! Ha! This morning, Sofia actually shook her head and told her daddy, "No!" when he said it was time to go outside and get in the car. Snowsuit or not, the Sof is not having it. Poor thing--it's too bad she couldn't have been born to parents living in a tropical climate :)

  2. Sofia has to go out in the weather every day though and Savannah has seen--Oh, I think three days TOTAL outside this winter. Shuttling her to the car doesn't even really count since we have an attached garage. I feel for Sofia and I right there with her! STOP the madness. I am ready for spring.
